Title: Glass - materials behind are dark
Post by: JRR_render on November 22, 2017, 01:25:56 PM
I am new to keyshot (only a month into using it) and I am trying to render a simple light fixture that has glass covering the tubes.  When I render with the glass visible, the materials behind the glass render very dark (almost black).  Its as if hardly any light is passing through.  I have tried playing with ray bounces and lighting but nothing has seemed to work.  Any suggestions?  One image is with the glass part visible, and the other is with the glass hidden.  In real life glass allows much more light to pass through.

Can you check your geometry? Maybe there are several parts at the same place?
I can't reproduce your issue. Maybe the attached file would help?

cheers
