Title: Inventor import
Post by: PhilippeV8 on June 09, 2011, 03:59:38 AM
Just a quick question.

I work with Inventor and export as IGES to transfer to 3DVia, from there I export as OBJ to go to KShot.

I am not using Inventor to KS right now because of an issue.

So I want to know if this issue has been taken out or not.

The thing is:
If I make 2 materials in Inventor.  One is white and one is exactly the same, though has a texture to it.  When I aply these to 1 part and import in KS, its not seen as 2 different face parts because the diffuse color of both materials was the same.
Is there a way for KS to split ipt or iam files, looking at material assignment rather than diffuse color ?
Or maybe that's been done in latest updates already ?

Can you send me an example so we can take a look?

Thanks, Thomas
