Title: Large number of parts in Rhino file. Import issues with KS
Post by: alynerankin on January 04, 2018, 10:43:19 AM
Hello KS Community:

I have a rhino file with just over 20,000 polysurfaces included in it. KS does not allow me to successfully import them all. Is there a maximum number of parts KS can handle for importing or is my issue hardware based (or both hardware and software). Any suggestions for an alternative work around to get all the parts into KS would be grateful.
Thanks for any help.

It is all about RAM.

Try to export the rhino file as a step or iges and import it with a very low tesselation quality of 0.01.
If all parts are represented and you're not happy with the polys, re-import the same file with update geometry option and increase the tesselation value.

Hope that helps
