Title: How to reapply materials to a modified 3d model
Post by: tc1908 on February 20, 2018, 02:46:16 AM
Hi, I'm new on Keyshot and I need an help...I did a 3d model (architectural) and rendered it in keyshot. The model needed some changes and I modified the 3d model...now I obviously need to render it again. Is there a method to import the materials already created in the first render?

Open the old BIP and then  import your new modified into the same file. Be sure to choose update for the import option.

Alternatively you may be able to use 'Material Templates'. Open the first scene and save a new material template. Open the second scene and import the material template. As long as the parts/names are the same you should be fine.

Thank you Chad and jhiker for your quick response. I tried "update geometry" but it didn' work, I don't know why. But it works perfectly choosing "new geometry".
Thank you again.
