Title: Adding various materials/ texture to one part?
Post by: JamesJ on July 07, 2011, 08:31:38 AM
Hi I'm new to Keyshot today and am just getting to grips with it.

I'm trying to render a sheet of corrugated and wondered how it's possible to get a representation of the fluting on the edge of the sheet?
Is there a way of applying more than one material to one part?

Thanks for your help

The easiest way that I know is the edge of your material needs to be a different color than the faces upon import into KeyShot--and that is done in whatever modeling program you used to created it.

Ok thanks.
I'm using Solid Edge, not sure if that's possible.
I'll have a try

This is possible in SolidEdge using the part painter tool in the view menu. With it you
can select any face and give it a different color. I do it all the time.
