i rendered one pair of cufflinks to my client.what you think? what to change?

oh - very nice. Maybe increase the raybounces? It looks a bit dark inside the diamond.

Very Nice indeed ! I agree with Thomas on the ray bounce thingy. Also what do you think about making the beads a chrome ? That will break up the materials a tad.
At any case very well done.

i will change ray bounce. for metal i used platinum but i will try with chrome too.

Nice work!  What I especially like is the subtle, almost pewter, look, or oxidized silver, like Native American "old pawn" jewelry.  You may want to play with a warm/cool lighting, like pale yellow and pale blue, if you can from your available HDR's.  See feher's recent post "It's all about the valve 2".  My only suggestion is that I find the background a bit confusing as to scale and message.  It does not do the links justice or place them in a scale context.  Maybe find a satin or other fabric texture on www.cgtextures.com (http://www.cgtextures.com), or scan something you already have.
