Title: Light Stripes_why they appear?
Post by: franznoise on April 06, 2018, 03:50:59 AM
Hi there,
I'm using keyshot 6 from yesterday, after several years working with keyshot 4 and 5.

I'm trying to render an interior scene, I'm using an area light diffuse panel as ceiling.
In the preview it seems to be ok, but in the final render result appear those light stripes.
Can someone help me to understand why, and if there is a way to fix it?

Thank you
have a nice day.

Hi,

This is probably caused by the Area Light sampling. The stripes should resolve as the rendering progresses.
Would it be possible to share the scene?

Thanks Dries! I'm now waiting for a render to see what happens. I can share the scene in private if is possible would be great!

You can send data securely via our WeTransfer (https://keyshot.wetransfer.com/). Send to dries-at-luxion-dot-com.

Thanks very much, but i answer the question myself! You have to set "Samples" to maximum value, both in the light material settings and in the render options. Then it's a light position and typology issue (area light vs point light). And finally my pc is not the best one for renders:))) But those stripes sucks anyway. It would be better if keyshot didn't show them at all!
