Title: Export HDRI
Post by: cjwidd on April 06, 2018, 05:50:13 PM
I saw in an older thread that the dev team was looking into exporting HDRI from Keyshot. Is there any progress on this feature?

In what capacity? It's been implemented since 7.0 as far as I know. You won't get the option if you're using a protected image (like any of our HDRI images in the KeyShot library). Try exporting one using your own image assets or a procedural environment and you should see the option.

Right, I was interested in exporting a custom HDRI and using this (https://www.keyshot.com/forum/index.php?topic=13110.0) method was sufficient. That being said, it was a helluva a workaround, so I was curious if exporting HDRIs to a more generic file format (e.g. TIFF) had been implemented.

With the limitations Will mentions you can export to hdr and exr formats in KeyShot 7 (not tiff though).

In the environment tab, under the HDRI Editor sub tab there is a button to the far right which will do the export.
