Title: Night exterior
Post by: Josip_ZG on May 05, 2018, 12:07:41 PM
Hello, people!
Can't recall I've seen a night exterior shot made in KeyShot yet. Every advice or example is welcome. I went for moon being the only light source (sphere with area light and spots texture), while the stars are represented also with spots texture, but placed on a huge sphere that surrounds the whole scene by a huge margin - with emissive light material applied to it to avoid too much light in the scene. Clouds are added in PS. If they were applied to a fake starry sky in KS, they wouldn't overlap the moon. Pictures before and after post processing.
I'm thinking about adding street lamps or buildings with some litted apartments, but the emphasys was to connect the lighting tree as a symbol of electric company with the glow of the night sky. Criticism and personal objections are welcome.

You get an A for creativity. I'd like to see what happens when you push this further. I think it's still a bit dark yet.
