Title: Spot UV coating
Post by: scanner on June 21, 2018, 04:10:34 AM
I try to create effect of spot UV coating on offset printed surface.
Light area of spot UV looks close, but on reference image I see darken shading spot UV where is not patch of light which isn't in my case.
How can I make this effect?

I have still experimented with this material, then have replace a UV node with metal material with some transparency and oops!.. it seems has worked.
Perhaps it can be done still better in a different way?

You're on the right track. Here's how I've done this in the past. Much simpler IMO.

Thanks Will.
I will try your way. I tested Roughness parameter also, but not in exactly the same way.
