Hi. I am a character modeler.
I would like to render this type using a normal map when building a portfolio.

I just use base setting and rendering.
Use Drywall material.

How can I improve it?

I suggest exploring the software and doing a little research/practice before asking for help.

The models you referenced look to have some nice lighting. Looks like one of them relies on some colored lights to add some interest. Also, you'll probably want to try adjusting your rendering settings to produce a cleaner image.
