Title: Translucent Advanced
Post by: syrom on July 10, 2018, 08:18:44 AM
Can someone explain this to me. Seems like the advance version is completely different  in how it renders. Like, what type of maps do you use on the slots of surface and transparency depth. also what do they control because I'm seem to be getting mixed results using any kind of maps black white grayscale on those slots

OK.. think i figure it out. On the SUBSURFACE slot you are supposed to use a all black map and paint the areas you want to show SSS with a red tone paint.

The TRANSLUCENCY slot, I havent figured out what kind of map you need. [black white? red black?]

I would have to argue that you don't simply choose solid colors and of course, it's always going to depend on the kind of material you're trying to produce.

Here's what each parameter does: https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/K7M/pages/37956249/Translucent+Advanced (https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/K7M/pages/37956249/Translucent+Advanced)
