Title: Exobike
Post by: BenG075 on July 29, 2011, 05:45:37 AM
Hi !

My entry to the grabcad / Exo neutrino bike fender contest http://blog.grabcad.com/2011/07/best-fender-bender-wins/ (http://blog.grabcad.com/2011/07/best-fender-bender-wins/). Files available here http://grabcad.com/library/exobike-fenders-final-predator-swan-version (http://grabcad.com/library/exobike-fenders-final-predator-swan-version)
I played with the emissive materials and the color map alpha to obtain a Tron legacy style vehicule.

Hope you'll like it  ;)

Thanks Thomas ! I'm very happy to see that you post it on Twitter and Facebook :) I've added another render with 2 bikes on my grabcad page, I'll post it here too...

Thanks Josh too :)  for the main emissive part in the center body I used an emissive blue color with around 5 value and for the other parts with light graphics, it's emissive material too with black, around 3 value, I have added a texture with alpha channel and checked the box 'color map alpha' in the first tab. If you want I can upload the material here...

:)

It's always a pleasure for me to work and 'play' with Keyshot. It's an amazing software...
That's me who have to say thank you Thomas :)

Your blue light material is very cool, I tried to do a material like this but with no success  :o

You need to use the emissive material. Increase the intensity, and make the blue color darker. Make sure to check detailed indirect illumination in the realtime tab, too.
