Title: Glass / Lights Flicker during turntable animation. Please Help!!
Post by: Mauricio Ruiz Design on July 31, 2018, 08:52:28 AM
Hi Everyone!

How do I get rid of these flickering light / glass effects that appear in the visor? I left all the settings on the render (Ray Bounce, etc.) on default. I'm still learning about what to turn up and what to leave down, so it might just be that I am not letting each frame render what it needs. Let me know if that's the obvious problem, as I've never been able to play with those feature too much in the past as I used to be working on a Laptop. (Now I've upgraded to a super PC)

I'm finally digging into the animations and have been trying to get the best renders I can.

I learned about rendering out the Frames as well as the Video, so I can avoid any issues from the video being reformatted by Adobe Premiere Pro, which I'm using to prep the video formats and compile the frames together.

I'm using Keyshot 5.

Here is the Turntable:

(Default Render settings, 449 Frames, saved out as frames and turned into a vimeo 2K video using Adobe Premiere Pro)

Hello Mauricio.

Great model by the way. But to your flickering question.
Just take a look at two options:
1. Set every radius of the area light to 0, 'cause that will flicker in animations.
2. Render every frame in max sample mode to be sure of a continuous quality.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
Marco
