Title: Transparent plastic - Cloudy plastic with paint on top
Post by: VertexBee on August 09, 2018, 11:52:48 AM
Hello!

I'm new to keyshot and I'm  trying to render a project I did a while ago. I want to achieve similar look like the manufactured wings material shown on the photo.

I've tried the advance material adjusting its specular transmission and diffuse transmission settings , I also tried using the cloudy plastic but I'm not able to bring it closer to the reference with neither of them.

The material looks pretty rough and solid when viewed with frontal lighting, but when lit from behind it gets very transparent.

I was thinking to try  mixing two materials  - > base clouldy plastic material and apply a second material as a label to represent the airbrushed paint added on top.

I'll would really appreciate some advice on how to approach this.  :)
