Post by: ETB on August 25, 2018, 03:04:49 AM
Hi Keyshotters!

Im new here and seeking feedback. Hit me with dos and donts and any tips for people new to rendering. If you have any type of rendering you would suggest me to look at then fire away!

Welcome! You're off to a great start. Each one of these has aspects that will help you refine composition, materials and lighting. I would say, analyze other shots that people post on here to see what makes a great shot. In between those, watch some of the webinars. For these shots specifically, I would start with trying out different HDRI or physical lights to bring out contrast and shape. You've got a pretty good handle on textures. Those may just need a little refinement - a tad lower bump/scale in some cases, a tad higher bump/scale in others. Keep pushing them!

HEY men, it would be better if you could attach the bip file here so that others could render a picture with the same model, and then you can make a comparison with yours and improve your own rendering skills.
