Title: Migrating Library items
Post by: mattjgerard on October 10, 2018, 12:48:12 PM
So when upgrading to KS8, there is now a folder in my materials Library called "Migrated" and while I am greatful for being able to do this, I find that not only my custom made materials are there, but a duplicate of every other material that the KS8 installer loaded, and the migrated ones from the KS7 folders that were already there. Whats the best way to resolve this? I really don't like the idea of having so many duplicated materials loading into KS every time I launch it. I'm reading from a network drive and it takes some time already. Do I just go into the folders in Windows (or mac finder) and resolve and merge folders manually organizing them? I don't want to muck up and internal databases that will go goofy by messing with the folder structures.

I also notice that there are some materials missing from the KS8 installer that were installed with KS7, specifically the hard yellow shiny and rough plastics. They are in KS7 library, but not the KS8 library.

Thanks!
