Title: Volumetrics - optimised render and material settings
Post by: texax on October 12, 2018, 10:13:50 AM
I'm trying to cut corners here and don't really have time to microadjust sliders and do extensive trial and error until I get respectable quality. Basically I need some scattering inside the cube with .vdb textures and I was wondering if someone could post optimal material settings for lightly dense atmosphere effect (light volumetric fog) as well as custom render settings for final output quality. I appreciate your time.

Hi texax,

Have you tried the fog materials in the KeyShot 8 Library?

Something to keep in mind for output settings is that Product Mode will respect material samples and can achieve smoother results than Interior Mode which may render a bit faster.
