Title: displacement creates gaps at geometry edges
Post by: PerFotoVDB on December 12, 2018, 06:59:13 AM
Hi All

After viewing the webinar on displacement we started testing out this new function.

We added a box from the keyshot geometry menu and put a granite displacement on it.
The displacement looks nice apart from the polys that seem to get ripped apart and don't retain there connection to each other.

Is this a feature or a bug?

Cheers

Hey Per,

It is a known issue. Check this page out:

I thought I had seen something on the forum about it too, but I don't remember where.

Thanks Eric

That does the trick.

Thanks a lot!

It's a bit in fortunate though. All this extra CAD work :(
Would be great if the displacement would work with the round edges :)
For me this crashes keyshot.

Cheers
