Title: Interior Rendering
Post by: jet1990 on January 04, 2019, 01:06:10 AM
Hi All,

Been working on a scene (a little late to the Christmas party)

Can anybody advise on the small glowing artifacts. I'm suspecting its due to the xmas tree which is a combination of small emmisive lights as well as a large invisible area light to add a bit of a flood light to the overall tree.

This render is 2560x1600 which took 16hours to reach 280 samples.

thanks

Hi,
Nice image. Definitely looks inviting. I suspect the fireflies are because you used emissive... I would not unless you really have a reason to. They tend to lead to fireflies. As for your render settings, I don't believe you need such high numbers. Frankly, the default Product rendering preset should be sufficient. I'm guessing the same image will take about 1 hour to render if you use typical product mode. Rendering with Interior Mode enabled (at the very bottom) will probably give you even faster renderings with fewer fireflies since it has a denoiser built into it.

Good luck!
