Title: [KNOWN ISSUE]Keyshot floating cannot save .bip files after upgrading NL license
Post by: JOFARRELL on February 06, 2019, 11:27:59 AM
"Keyshot 8 is not able to save .bip files" and im experiencing the same issue.

It won't let me save out the .bip file and when I save out a package, reopening it, its saying there are no big files in it. The package size is noticeably small too when saved out. If you could please let me know how I can resolve this issue as soon as possible I'd be very grateful.

Its Keyshot 8 - Floating License

Best,
Jack

Just after the first error message check if keyshot create a nameofyourfile.bip.tmp file in your directory, if that is the case remove the .tmp extension and you will be able to open your bip file again....(in my case this issue have been fixed by 8.1).

This is a known issue for the floating license. The current workaround in KeyShot 8 is to momentarily switch to a node-locked (single user) license and then back to floating. This resets the saving mechanism's permissions.  Please send a request for a node-locked license to license@luxion.com
