Not sure about Keyshot 7 but in Keyshot 6 under Materials/Properties the default status of the check box "Blend with Color:" is not checked. In Keyshot 8 the default status of the box is checked. Please change this default to coincide with future Keyshot 8 and future releases.

Thank you for your post.
I have tested it on my end, and KeyShot 8 unchecks the "Blend with color" box by default. Please make sure you are on the latest version (8.2.80).
You can also delete the KS8Settings.xml file to see if that fixes it for you. The xml file is located in your KeyShot 8 resources folder.
