Title: Spheres have a hole done the center
Post by: Handpiece Headquarters on March 05, 2019, 06:39:04 AM
I have an issue when rendering some spheres in that they have a slash down the middle. See attached screenshot. Any idea of what could be causing this. These are part of a ball bearing and there are other parts to this model but all are hidden. Attached a screen shot.

Are you sure it's a hole in the geometry? - try have a look in the geometry view to check.

Could it be a texture mapped to the material?

Its not in the geometry view an all it is a plastic material. Nothing no textures at all. I tried swapping out between different materials and its always there.

Kind of stumping me this one.

Can you share the scene? Or, at least, just the ball bearing part?

Cheers,
Eric

Weird i remade the animation with a rotation instead of a turntable and it seems to render up fine.

Very peculiar
