Title: Render issue using opacity to a material
Post by: DaStig on March 11, 2019, 04:37:54 AM
Got a bit of an issue adding DOF to the rendering. In the editor all looks fine, but when rendering the alpha added to the rear license plate is not rendered correctly (showing that white edge outside the black plastic frame) ... and I don't have a clue why this is happening. When I remove the DOF, all is fine.

Below the preview with the DOF active.

Can someone help me out on this ?

Well the better solution to my eyes is to generate the deph pass and then apply it in PS, you have more granularity to adjust DOF and IMO a cleaner result.

That depth pass, then blur in Photoshop does not look as good as KeyShot's DoF. The results are not the same.
