Title: Solidworks 2019 .sldprt into KS 7.3.40: "does not contain 3d geometry"
Post by: alexalexalex on March 13, 2019, 07:55:10 AM
Were using Solidworks 2019 and cannot import .sldprt files into KeyShot 7.3.40.  We get the error  stating "File does not contain 3d geometry".  Is there any way to fix this?  Our workaround is to export everything as STEP.  SW Plugin works on first export, but for updating scenes it does not, it opens a new instance of KS.

It looks like KS 7 doesn't support SW 2019: https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KP/pages/192905397/SOLIDWORKS+Add-in+Release+Notes (https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KP/pages/192905397/SOLIDWORKS+Add-in+Release+Notes)

Out of curiosity, why not upgrade to KS 8?

Yea I did see that,  I want to know if this is going to be fixed.  We have 8 licenses so upgrading is not an easy ask.
