I am compiling large KS files into one document, therefore I have beautiful groups available. But it still becomes very messy with hundreds of them. I would like to simply select an item in the scene and have the group selected instead just the single part. Similar to in photoshop where the auto-selection can be set to group or layer. I agree the behavior is a bit odd. I do have some solace when using the Geometry viewer to move things around, you can right click and choose Move Part or Move Model (this is probably what you'd want?)
When I am moving things around, I always use the geometry view these days for that very reason.
I am not sure if you're able to move by Model Set yet, which would also be a nice option?
