Title: 1982 BMW E28 5-series
Post by: S.C. on April 03, 2019, 02:07:14 AM
This is the legendary 5-series produced between 1981 and 1988.

I modeled this in Rhino and rendered it in Keyshot.

 :) Nice!

I have aspirations of one day modeling from scratch my first love- a 1989 BMW 325i e30. Someday!

Thank you!
An amazing bit of engineering!  I love these era BMWs, E28, E30, etc. They have a great character - looks, sound, and drive!

Wow! Great job. Always cool to see an original model. Something looks like it might be off on that material on the rim, like there should be stronger shadows on it.

good but headlamps and the other lamps seem weird, maybe because of the 3D model.  i don't know.

Thank you!
Yes, the rims look a bit flat. I need to figure out why that is...

Öner. Thanks for the feedback. The lens geometry is not completely accurate in terms of the interior texture. I used some simple normal maps to suggest the lens textures.... as I didn't model them in to the lenses. This could explain your comment.
