Title: Changing aspect ratio without effecting camera
Post by: Gedred on May 29, 2019, 09:34:03 AM
Hi, I managed to do this by accident once, but don't know how to replicate it.

Basically, I have an image already that im happy with, however I want to add extra canvas (width wise) to the image. Whenever I drag the viewing window to my desired size, it changes the camera, zooms it in and I can't get it back to where I want it.

Hope this is clear, I want to add width to my chosen viewpoint image without affecting the camera.

Thanks.

I don't think you can, unfortunately. I think keyshot has the zoom tied to width. You can change the height all you want, but if you change the width, it changes the zoom.

I always use fixed aspect ratios for cameras, so when you accidentally resize the window, you don't get a completely different camera shot.
