Title: [RESOLVED] How to Get Soft Shadow ?
Post by: brahmzxc on July 30, 2019, 10:47:49 PM
Hello Keyshot Forum I need help in one of these renders for lightning.
As you can see in this setup I am getting very hard shadows but I need to achieve soft shadows, if I Increase the radius of the pin the brightness gets very high and even if I adjust the brightness accordingly the shadows have no effect whatsoever.
So If anyone could help me if will be of great help.
I am using Dosch Apartement_2k environment with manual 1 pin.
Thanks

Hello brahmzxc,

Thank you for sumbitting this post. It looks like you brough down the HDRI's brightness and that you are using "Pin #1" as the main light source. From your settings I can see that the pin's brighness is very high and the Radius is small. The contrast between your background and the pin is very high. I would suggest bringing down the pin's brightness. You can also get rid of the pin and instead use physical lights to create the desired effect.
