Title: Rain Test Render - Lamborghini Terzo Millennio
Post by: Liam Martin on September 10, 2019, 12:40:20 AM
Hi folks,

I spent some time finessing my rain material in Keyshot. I've tried it out in a few scenes to get the scale and density right and think this is about as close as I can get it. I added in some water streaks to the car and some ripples to the ground. All in I think they work pretty well together. This is also my first car render which was fun to do. Model is available here https://grabcad.com/library/the-lamborghini-terzo-millennio-concept-car-1

I'm going to share my method in a YouTube video today and will post the link below. My channel is here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN_4_GcQMMZQh3QJeqbOiRw/

Cool - smart approach. Thumbs up!
It might work for animations too. Duplicate the drops normal map, shift the UVs and drive the bump weight with a color fade.

Awesome idea! I thought of doing it with a video map into the bump, but that's a great shout for doing it within Keyshot.
