Hi.
I'm very excited by the upcoming release of Keyshot 9 with GPU rendering.
It happens to be that I'm building a new PC, and I was wondering what specs will be better for me.
Obviously the ideal would be to buy the best of everything, but I don't have unlimited money :)
So, the idea is to invest more in the GPU --OR-- the CPU, not both.
Examples:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x (8 core) or 3900x (12 core)
GPU: Nvidia Titan RTX (24gb of Vram)
--OR--
CPU: AMD Threadripper 3000 (32 or 64 core)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 (I already have this)
There are a couple of threads that talk a little about this:

But there are a few things that we still don't know.
The main one being VRAM use.
How much is enough?
Of course it depends on what you are doing.
I plan to do big scenes with detailed models.
Good references for context:

I use Zbrush, Blender, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter.
Sooooooo.... Questions:
1- Should I invest in CPU or GPU?
2- Any visual difference between the two?
3- I was thinking in the Nvidia Titan RTX for the 24gb VRAM, but maybe a 2080ti with 11gb VRAM it's enough for big scenes with lots of textures?
4- For comparison sake, if I have 2gb of RAM used by Keyshot, how that translate into VRAM usage in the GPU?
Ok, that's all :)
Thanks for reading.
Cheers !
