Title: Steam Traction Engine update
Post by: Speedster on October 07, 2011, 09:25:13 AM
Hi all;

Finally decided on the color scheme for my 1912 Case Traction Engine. Pretty traditional colors for them. Backplates shot at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, in Vista, California, USA.  It's really hard to find appropriate backplates for my stuff that places them in context.  I need a month long vacation just to travel and shoot!

HDR- "Dry Lake".  I applied some subtle de-saturation, which I find is usually needed to level things out.  Guess it's time to learn how to paint in Photoshop, because it really needs wheel tread patterns on the ground- it does weigh like 8 tons!  By the way, there's quite a slope leading up to the Traction Barn.  Plus, you have to watch out for rattlesnakes!

Comments welcome!
