Just bought my ticket and booked the hotel! Very excited to come back, hope to meet more of you face to face.
Can't wait! Probably going to fly in a couple days early with the missus and have a little mini-vacation beforehand poking around in LA.
Cheers!
3D Off the Page will be there again this year. Stop by our table and see us!
Steve
I finally got around to getting everything booked, so I'll be there!
Flying in from Australia, hope to meet some of you guys there, since I'm new on the forum :)
Wow. Australia is a long flight! That's rad. To the rest of you, I'll see you there and look forward to saying hi again.

Looking forward to your advanced lighting talk. I'm really trying to work on that.
8) See you guys there!
A bunch of folks from Luxion's Aarhus office (including myself) will also cross the pond.
Looking forward to geeking out and hanging out! 8)

So, I'll be honest, this is just as much of a getaway for me as a professional trip (family of 6 + dog, it gets crazy) so, after all the planned events are done, what are some ways to just hang out and meet up afterwards? It will be just me and my co-worker and she is bringing her husband, so I'll be flying solo. Last time I was there I walked A LOT and it was great, watched an impromtu car show/burn out contest in the parking lot across from the hotel, but that was about it. Just looking for ways to not be bored outside of the planned activities.
I live 13 miles from the hotel and the weather has been great!

Depends. Do you like early morning walks on the beach? (seriously though, that's a favorite of mine) To me, the event is tiring enough that just some space and quiet and people watching is fun. If you'll be out for additional days, then you can look into something more. Maybe rent a beach cruiser/scooter to cover more ground? Do you run? Could bring your running shoes. Got a camera? Could take some photos? Like sushi or other Asian food? There's plenty of that in the area. Hard to say, guess it depends on your interests. Check Yelp out.
Part of me wants to rent a motorcycle to scoot around town and the wider area, but a less insane part of me thinks that might be a bad idea straight after a long winter pause in Denmark. ???
In any case, I think it's a nice area to explore with a wide range of vehicles.

Hmm, still have my motorcycle endorsement, that might be a fun option!
Soooo, I'll go ahead and ask the question- Still happening?
We have had multiple larger events cancel (tradeshows, adobe AEM conference) so, just wondering what the status is. If its cancelled I'm still showing up though, plane and hotel is already paid for :)

Matt,
Don't forget your helmet.
I rode by the hotel on my morning bicycle ride and it was a bit foggy but it's been clearing up by around noon...

Well - according the email sent out the other day about the event - it is still on! (Unless they close the airports)
As David mentions, we're still on and going strong. 8)
Should there be any change of plans in one way or another, we'll make sure to keep all our attendees updated via email.
See you next week!

Thanks everyone, missed the email the other day, glad to hear its still going on!
I will miss this event and all of you. We had been eagerly anticipating all the possibilities of RW2020. My company just cancelled all travel to California due to the virus. Sooo sad.
:( Facing similar difficulties. Will have to cancel my trip - very sad I won't be able to attend this year. Hoping to see all of you at the next one!
nooo!!!. KS World20 is officially cancelled. I flew in yesterday so can't really cancel my travel plans... since I will be around at the conference time, anyone interested in a small get together? I was really looking forward meeting some of you guys.
Oh well, Disney is near :D
Hmmm, as of this moment I have seen no official notice from KeyShot nor Luxion and it appears one can still buy a ticket to the event,
though the optics appear that most public gatherings are being postponed out of an abundance of caution.
*Our support staff just communicated the "official" cancellation. :(

Yep, just got the email. Its cancelled. Bummer, but probably the right thing to do.
Yeah, that's a bummer. Hopefully it'll be able to be rescheduled later in the year, I was looking forward to meeting everyone. :(
Our sincere apologies for having to cancel the event. Given the fast moving situation, especially with the global travel restrictions being implemented, made moving forward impossible. I will reach out to you directly, ivuzem, to see what we can do.

Well, I guess everybody is just trying to avoid forcing their health systems to take life and death decisions like China and Italy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/03/15/coronavirus-rationing-us/
Stay safe, all!

Yep, things are getting pretty locked down here, parts of canada just shut down schools until next year, New York is asking all bars and restaurants to close, etc. People are saying moves like that are too restrictive too soon, but I think this is the best way to get ahead of it. New way of life for a while, and the CEO's of Instacart and such businesses are rubbing their hands together in excitement.
Make your own corner of the world a little better, and be prepared. We are polling my in-laws living area for older folks that can't get out and figuring out how to get them food and supplies so they can stay home. Better that than what these guys were doing-

Jeff reached out, but unfortunately I had to change my plans and fly back home asap due to mandatory isolation.
Anyway, I hope everyone is safe.
well, there's always virtual KeyShot World 2020!
