Probably the best creative feature in a very long time. I could see this sparking way too many abstract creative imagery for ads and what not. Massive fun as you can see when you mash it together with something that shouldn't be mixed with. No PS retouch here, image straight from Render.
I'm not sure what it is, but it certainly looks bristly. Agree on the applications - can't wait to see how it's used!
