Does anyone have a method do animate from material to material or from texture to texture?

Hello Per.
If you apply a solid material as a label, you can animate the opacity of the label via curve animation.
Perhaps a composite node could be used for a texture to texture animation driving the alpha channel via curve.
I have to give it a try if I have time to.
