Yes. I can reproduce it with an advanced material and a vdb texture.

I understood, i need vdb_cloud pack and translucent(advance), right ?  :)

yes - the 3d vdb cloud should drive one of the transmission channels. (maybe a high scaled noise texture can do the same?).
If your tests doesn't guide you to the results you want, then play with a scattering media - use the vdb cloud for the density. Add another sphere (duplicate the sphere, unlink the materials and scale the new sphere a bit, e.g. 1.1) and use a clear plastic from the library (and obviously tweak it to your liking)

I have no access to a KeyShot, yet. Which version do you running currently?

Cheers
Marco

:) Please share your result when you finish! Can't wait to see how it turns out. Might have to give it a try myself.

Hi,
Here my test with Scattering medium and 2 spheres.

and I guess if you slightly increase the transmission roughness of the clear plastic, you'll get closer to the result you want?!
What does it looks like, if the vdb cloud is larger than the sphere?

Esben Oxholm had made a great webinar about the scattering media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK0OmSdEfWE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK0OmSdEfWE)

Great solution Finema.

I tweaked it a bit. ut I am sure, that it can be pushed a bit further.

Cheers
Marco
