Title: Wood grain rotation KS 9
Post by: misterrogers on December 31, 2019, 12:13:56 PM
Hi, I'm having trouble rotating the grain using the Walnut (and a few other woods) in KS 9.

I cannot orient the grain 90ยบ from where it is now no matter what I tried.   Here are a couple of screen shots showing the settings from the Diffuse and Bump.

I tried rotating both the UV and the Axis etc.  Didn't work.   It seems to only work on some woods.  I am hoping to get it to work on all of them.  What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Hi,

When using a "Color Adjust" texture the mapping is quite hidden.

In the attached image I have circled the button to click, which will bring you to the mapping options of the diffuse texture.

Maybe it would help to navigate through the material structure, if you change from the project materials to the material view. It helps a lot to select specific nodes even you haven't access to the material graph.

Hope that helps
Cheers

Awesome - I was able to rotate correctly now.  Thank you both!  My previous version was 3, so I'm still getting familiar with the large number of new features.  New to me of course..
