Title: Color Transformation from CIE Lab to RGB
Post by: Fred B on January 13, 2020, 12:47:08 PM
Does anyone know what transformation matrix is used to convert the color selectors values from CIE Lab to RGB?

Is it based around (sRGB, Adobe RGB, etc), and what light source does it use (D65, D50, F7, etc.)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything in KeyShot is sRGB (or actually gamma 2 with the sRGB whitepoint) and relative to illuminant D65 unless specified otherwise.

If you have a measured reflectance in CIELab I recommend having a look at the New Measured Paint entry under the Material Menu in the material graph.

Kind regards,
Søren
