Title: transparency onto a bumpmap or a displacement
Post by: derPotz on January 23, 2020, 02:38:03 AM
Hi there!
I´d like to fade out the bump texture to the top of the glass (since condensation stops where the cold liquid inside ends). Is there a way to apply some sort of transparency map to define where are more or less drops?
Thank you dear Forum :)

You can drive through a fade texture and a color-to-number node the bump height. Or you can use the fade texture as a mask to clip the bump texture.
You will see this solution in the ice glass scene from the default scenes in the library.

Hope that helps.
