Title: Bad keyshot display/render of Fillet/curved objects/Rhino
Post by: rasha on January 29, 2020, 06:58:56 AM
Hello,

I am having a bad importing model issue of rounded/curved objects after upgrading to keyshot 9  :(  it seems to be a bug!
Apparently when importing curved geometries ..etc from rhino 6 to keyshot whether using the actual rhino keyshot plugin or directly importing the model from keyshot menu, the rounded objects come in broken and keyshot is not able to read curved edges, I attached two screen grabs of the rhino model vs keyshot model and the actual rhino model.

Just to stress out that I have tried the following:
-to bring in the parts in a new rhino model and re-import,
2-clearing all meshes,
3-clearing all bad objects
4-purging undesired layers,
5-i also tried grouping the parts
6-ungrouping with no luck
meaning its not a rhino modeling issue but rather a keyshot problem

***Also the surfaces and meshes are not triangulated or Ngons based and those surfaces were made directly in rhino and not imported from other 3D software's
:-\

please advise
Thnaks

Hello Rasha,

Please try switching to the standard shaded viewport before sending the scene to KeyShot.
