Title: Satin glass material
Post by: shanzhiyue on March 28, 2020, 11:33:23 AM
Hello,

Anyone knows how to set up satin glass? My rendering looks really strange with those grey marks...

It's a wooden surface with a satin plexiglass on the top.

Have you tried looking in the various stock materials or the cloud library? I think there are lots there that could be used with no tweaking, or very little. Here is a clear rough plastic - cream from the cloud library. I left it cream but you could tweak the color if need be.

Hi! I think maybe I just complicated the situation using glass material... Thank you for your advice!

That checkbox that says Global Illumination Cache (in your render settings) - uncheck that. That usually helps with this.
