Title: Keyshot 9 Transparent material with Alpha channel (See-through)
Post by: yshentu on April 10, 2020, 09:20:46 AM
Is there a way to render a transparent material (glass/clear plastic) so if you check the "include alpha" box in your render output setting, the material is actually see-through? -- i.e. if I drop the rendered image on top of a layer in Photoshop, the layer behind will show through the transparent material.

I tried using glass/clear plastic material and also tried output with TIFF/PSD/PNG, but the transparent material will block whatever underneath it. (See attached image)

I found two threads talking about this issue and looks like it's possible with glass material before KS7, I'm using KS9 and it doesn't seem to work anymore. Anybody can offer some help?
