Very clever!  I've never seen this presentation concept before in over 38 years in this crazy business- good job!

Great image.  I've always been a fan using sketches as decals in a render, but I hadn't seen engineering drawings used.  I like it.

Hi,

Really nice image you have created, Ivan.
I would like to render a technical drawing, so I can use it as a image on my website. Can anyone give me a hint in how to make something similar to what Ivan did?

Regards, Jacob

In solid edge save as image, then apply to a surface, if you want to be arty make it glow!

This is an alternative style! I saves as bmp the added coffee stain and aged the drg as per an old workshop copy, the options are endless really!

Hmmz ... not sure if I would do that.  If the drawing copy is old ... the machine must be old design 2 ...

Totally agree! I wouldn't either for marketing but this forum is for sharing ideas and increasing our impact and abilities as a discipline. It's the concept! just imagine if you were selling say steam model parts or items focused on the nostalgia principle... you could just as easily have had a tattoo on a body to demonstrate the latest inking system...

Ok, for a steampunk item this would be nice :) Agreed.

Thank You Jacob. This is how i created this render: Made a techical drawing in Pro Engineer, exported it into PDF format, opened the PDF and than I took a screenshot of that. I used Microsofot Office Picture Manager to crop it and then inserted it in Keyshot as a Label. Hope that helps :)
