Title: How to fix RealCloth tiling?
Post by: mckaynilson on May 27, 2020, 12:51:44 PM
I'm working on a soft goods project right now and keep having issues with RealCloth showing visible tiling. I get the same results running on gpu and cpu. I've replicated it on a sphere in the file attached below.

Anybody seen this before or know how to fix?

I'd recommended you watch this entire video, but the section stating at 4:51 (linked below) covers how to resolve that issue.

Hi there,

What you are dealing with is referred as "Moire" pattern. When your pattern is too sharp that it creates a grid like pattern.
You can fix this by increasing the Anti-Aliasing under the Material Property. Increasing the resolution of your render should also help. You can always down size your render in Photoshop later on, where downsizing will
also act as Anti-Aliasing...

Hope this helps.
