Post by: danpeal on June 03, 2020, 01:45:50 PM
Hello fellow members.

This time I'm trying to match materials for a sculpture.

Here is some visual information

I adding material graph shot. (converted from 3ds max and stuff I found in "maps" folder)
What I got so far.
What I want to get.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried the node system you proposed and here are the results. I still don't manage to get that sheen on more smooth parts legs and head~

Hola.

Cool. Good looking spec color.

Lower the "Output" of that "Color To Number" until you get the desired amount of "Blur" regarding the reflection.
Looks like the orange thighs areas will need to be darker than the rest, in the roughness map, but brighter in the spec map.

Once you've matched that, if the "Amount" of reflection is too much, plug a "Color to Number" between your black and white map and the "Composite" node and lower the "output" to taste...

Basically,

For Spec:
White is visible reflection.
Black is no reflection.

For Roughness:
White is Blurred reflection.
Black is glossy reflection

You're getting closer!
