Title: Exploded looping animation for SSD
Post by: AlexDsouza on September 21, 2020, 04:40:20 AM
I have been working on this exploded animation for my Slide SSD design, link below.

All animation was setup in keyshot except for the bending of the cable, which was exported as an alembic file from Cinema4D.
The curve graphs in keyshot 9 were so useful in perfecting the movement of the exploded components.

The PCB was modelled in Fusion 360, and most of the different layers were exported from Illustrator and then used as opacity maps for labels.

Spent a lot of time on this one but any feedback or improvements on the animation style would be great. I also tried adding some sound effects but couldn't quite get it right, so anyone who has any tips for that please do let me know!

Thanks!
Alex

The bent cable was animated in cinema4D and imported as .abc file. Hope that helps!
