Title: Gradually changing camera on an animation
Post by: Higuchi on February 16, 2021, 10:16:21 PM
Hi guys,

I'm looking for the specific command to change from camera A to camera B "gradually". I know attached "Add Camera Animation", but it doesn't seem to be able to adjust ease in/out. Namely, the appearance suddenly change, doesn't it?

Thank you,

Do you mean the Camera Switch Event? It's further down on the same page you linked to. However, it's an instant change from camera a to camera b. I don't think there's a way to do a gradual change from one to the other within KeyShot.

A camera switch event is an instant switch from one camera to the next.  If you put time in front of the switch and time after the switch, depending upon what you are doing then, you may be able to blend nicely in Premiere or After Effects.  Another possibility is to try keyframes which move your object (not the camera).  This addition to KS10 is quite powerful.  Brooke Harrington from KS did a very nice, clear video on this.  It's on the KS YouTube page.

Thank you, guys!
As I thought, possibly we can't made gradual transition effect just on keyshot yet. I hope it will be improved on next update, since I don't want to do post editing work like on After effects as much as I could.

Also, the link below is so helpful for us to make animation on Keyshot 10. I'm struggling to use key frames!
