Title: Gem material turn back after being applied
Post by: NineAmulets on March 11, 2021, 07:30:03 PM
I have a KS 10 HD ZBrush bridge. When I try to apply the ruby material to a gem model it turns black. Not sure why...other gems don't present the same results

Thanks

Hello NineAmulets.

Are there any changes with scale, units that effects the transparency distance?

No. When I import other objects from ZBrush and apply that material, the same happens. However when I click on performance mode, it looks more like a ruby, but if I render it I'll get the black stone again :(

What happens if you increase Ray Bounces?

Nope, no difference at all. I've changed all the light settings but didn't see any changes at all.

just edit gemstone ruby material and after that increase the transparency distance 2 mm - 5 mm. error will solve .

Sorry. You were right I was wrong. I enter the numeric value and it changed the stone color! I was using the slide and that didn't do anything.

Thanks!
