Title: Inventor animation to keyshot
Post by: germannick on March 24, 2021, 04:57:21 AM
Quick question, because I never used .iam (inventor) files before. Can a native inventor animation be fully used in Keyshot, just like the CREO "mechanics data" in Keyshot? I would like to avoid to recreated the whole animation in KS again.

Run a forum search on "Alembic" file type. And check to see if Inventor can export to that file type. I think you need to convert your animation to an alembic file on export. KeyShot should import that file and retain the animation. Well, it used to, check with support to be certain.
