Title: Utilization of GPU
Post by: archz2 on June 08, 2021, 12:11:28 AM
While keeping the render setting to GPU render, Keyshot doesn't fully utilize my GPU.

I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX Graphics 1050 Ti 4 GB GDDR5.

Almost everytime, my GPU usage in Acer Nitrosense shows up more while Keyshot is using very less GPU. No other apps are running when I render my models. What is going on?

Hi,

It looks like you are comparing memory utilization, as reported by KeyShot, with GPU load, as reported by the Acer app.
You can be sure that KeyShot utilizes all of your GPU. :)

My RAM is 16GB, so Keyshot should state the figure out of 16384 MB instead of 4096 MB. Isn't it?

Do not confuse Ram and GPU memory, a GTX 1050ti only has 4GB of Vram GDDR5 (Video memory) so Keyshot reports correct video memory number ;) .

So why is it using only 2251MB out of 4096 MB VRAM as shown in the screenshot?

VRAM is use as needed , so your scene must be small enough (geometries, textures) to only need 2251 MB...
